The north-eastern
part of Nigeria is the worst affected by the Boko Haram insurgency, this continues to generate the displacement of
people across international borders and within the country. In addition to the Internally Displaced Persons
(IDPs) affected by the conflict,
IDPs displaced by natural disasters
and
community clashes have also been
identified in the north and central parts of the country to be the causes of dispacement of people in Nigeria .
It is with
this background that the provision of the Mobile Library Facility to IDP camps
is considered important, as JPF seems to be the only Organization providing such
a service in Nigeria.
The Gurku IDP camp is located at
Abuja is home to 120 family units who had been displaced as the result of the Boko Haram insurgency. The families are
drawn from Adamawa, Borno, Yobe and Gombe State of Nigeria. The camp is managed by
the Jauro Interfaith Shades Foundation.

of J.P.F
In
response to reducing the health challenges of the IDPs, the Chief Executive
officer of John Pofi Foundation donated sets of stretchers to the Jauro
Interfaith Shades Foundation, through its CEO Mr. Markus Gamache, indeed it was
a moment of joy for the IDPs and the management staff of the Jauro Interfaith
Shades Foundation, they all gave thanks to the CEO of JPF and pray that God
will bless and provide fund for more of such activity.

the Ambassador at large of International Religious Affairs Washington DC also
were the officials of the US Embassy in Nigeria. They were happy that such a Mobile
